My research projects are mainly focused on avian influenza virus as representative of avian zoonoses:
- Molecular basis for the generation of pandemic influenza viruses.
- Surveillance of avian influenza virus in migratory birds.
- Generation mechanism of highly pathogenic avian influenza viruses.

Our research subjects are as follows:
- Host range restriction and pathogenicity of avian influenza virus and Newcastle disease virus.
- Surveillance of avian influenza virus in wild birds.
- Development of novel antiviral materials and products. (industry-university cooperation)
